  • Tetsuya Ogata Title: Deep leaning Models for Applications in Robotics
Abstract : This talk will introduce the examples of our recent collaborative studies with multiple companies in robots with deep learning models. They include the learning model of whole body motions of humanoids, collaboration with human in assembling task, learning of weighing task of various materials using self-training process etc.

Bio: Tetsuya Ogata (M’00) received the B.S., M.S., and D.E. degrees in mechanical engineering from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, in 1993, 1995, and 2000, respectively., He was a Research Associate with Waseda University, a Research Scientist with the RIKEN Brain Science Institute, anb an Associate Professor with the Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University. He has been a Professor with the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Waseda University. He is currently a Joint- Appointed Fellow with the Artificial Intelligence Research Center, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. His research interests include human-robot interaction, dynamics of human-robot mutual adaptation, and inter-sensory translation in robot systems with neuro-dynamical (deep learning) models.
