  • Francesco Maurelli Title: Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions: building your career in Europe (but not only)
Abstract : This session focuses on Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions, a funding scheme from the European Commission to support research and innovation. After a general presentation of the actions and the conditions, we will focus mostly on the actions available for young researchers, after completing their PhD. We will then dig into the application package, analyzing what an applicant needs to stress in their proposal, as well as potential traps to avoid.

Bio: Francesco Maurelli is Professor in Marine Systems and Robotics at Jacobs University Bremen. He is a double Marie-Curie Fellow, as he started his PhD with a MC Research Training Network (now called Innovative Training Network), and he has recently completed an Individual Fellowship, hosted jointly by Jacobs University Bremen (Germany) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). His research activities is focused on autonomous systems, intelligent localization, world modeling and fault management. Alongside the research activities, he has created a company to support grant writing applications.
